How to Create A 5-day Email Sequence That 'Actually' Sells

You'll never walk away without sales after reading this.

Hello again 👋

This week is massive for me.

As a copywriter, a.k.a. ghostwriter, I converted two new clients for email courses and social posts. I am so excited to work with them, as their passions resemble mine.

Speaking about email, I have to say this.

Harsh truth: Most email sequences fail, leaving money on the table and subscribers lost.

I'm sure you can relate to this.

Ask yourself, "How many creators do you subscribe to and convert to buy something from them?"

The answer may not be many.

You buy something from a few of them and ignore the rest.

Have you ever asked yourself why did you ignore the rest?

My hypothesis is that those who can't sell their offer in their email sequence don't meet this requirement in their sales emails.

In today's post, I'm sharing my proven step-by-step guide to creating email sequences that sell. I learned this from Justin Welsh.

Here's a sneak peek of what you'll discover:

  1. How to agitate pain points to make your solution irresistible

  2. How to tease your offer without revealing too much too soon

  3. The power of social proof

  4. Essential details that make your offer a no-brainer

  5. Crafting a call-to-action that seals the deal

I've also included examples and actionable tips you can implement immediately to boost your email marketing results.

Let's dive in!

1. Agitate the problem

To sell something, you've gotta make them aware there are problems.

If you don't tell your subscribers of their problems, they won't realize they have to buy from you.

You need to agitate the problem by describing it vividly to the point that they can feel it to their bones.

Here's an example:

"As a business coach, I've seen countless entrepreneurs struggle to find their ideal clients. They pour their heart into their work but end up feeling invisible in a crowded market. It's frustrating, disheartening, and can make you question everything."

Tips:

Empathize with your audience's struggles and show that you understand their pain.

2. Tease your solution

Once they are aware of the problem, it's time to tease your solution.

Remember to tease, not to reveal everything.

The secret to tease the solution is to paint the picture of what your offer can do for them.

It's like selling the dream to make them feel inspired and eager to buy anything you can offer.

Here's an example:

"Imagine having a steady stream of dream clients who value your expertise and happily pay premium prices. What if you could achieve this without burning out from constant hustle or wasting time on mismatched prospects?"

Tips:

Paint a picture of the ideal outcome your product or service delivers.

3. Share the proof

After you tease the offer, most of your subscribers might still wonder if your product can solve their problems.

Deep down, they still have doubts and concerns about what your product/service can do to them. Maybe they still don't trust you enough.

Your job is to lower this barrier by including proof of what your product/service has done for other customers.

This will ease the barrier and convince your subscribers that your product/service is the right solution.

Here's an example:

When Sarah came to me, she was close to giving up on her dream of being a full-time yoga instructor. After implementing my 'Authentic Attraction' method, she tripled her client base and revenue within 90 days. Now she's thriving doing what she loves."

Tips:

Showcase relatable success stories that inspire hope and build trust.

4. Give the details

Once your subscribers lower their barriers, you better give the details of your offer.

Be clear in providing it so they know what they will receive.

Here's an example:

"When you enroll in my 'Copywriting' program, you'll get:

- My proven 5-step system for attracting your ideal clients

- Customizable templates for your proposals.

- 8 weeks of group coaching to keep you accountable and on track.

Tips:

Clearly outline the features and benefits of your offer, focusing on the value you provide.

5. Time to close

You'll never generate sales if you never close your offer.

Once you've sent four email sequences to educate your subscribers about your product/service, it will become easier to sell something.

You need to seize this opportunity by making your offer as clear as possible and driving them to a strong CTA (Call to Action).

Here's an example:

Enrollment for 'How to Make Money Online' closes at midnight this Friday. If you're tired of chasing mismatched clients and ready to build a thriving business on your terms, now is the time to take action. Click below to secure your spot and let's start attracting your dream clients today!
