Niche 101: How to Find Your "Money-printing" Niche
I've never thought finding a niche is so easy.

Hey friend 👋
Welcome to Creator Bullets #3.
Today's topic is how to pick your niche so you can make money out of your content.
If you want people to pay attention to you, you must communicate your message clearly and effectively.
This means clarifying what you want to discuss and why it's important for your audience to listen. Otherwise, you'll be clueless. People won't remember what you say and sell because you are unfocused and too wild.
But, no worries, because you can follow these three frameworks to find your niche.
1. Find sub-niches out of the audience.
What is a sub-niche?
A sub-niche is a smaller subsection of a broader audience.
Imagine it as a smaller community inside of a subreddit.
Here's a framework to find sub-niche out of the audience:
Broad audience > Niche > Sub-niche.
For example:
Entrepreneur > Tech Startup Founder > AI-Powered Fintech Startup Founder.
Marketer > Digital Marketer > Social Media Marketer for Fashion Brands.
Engineer > Software Engineer > Mobile App Developer for Health and Fitness Apps.
This framework will ensure that you find a niche within the audience that you are targeting. Do this exercise by writing it down on some notes. Ask yourself what audience you want to target. Be specific about who they really are.
2. Find sub-niche out of product/service.
The above framework can also apply to products/services.
Let's do the exercise again:
Furniture > Office Furniture > Ergonomic Chairs for Remote Workers.
Clothing > Athletic Wear > Moisture-Wicking Shirts for Trail Runners.
Course > Online Course > Digital Marketing Course for E-commerce Businesses
Simple, isn't it?
You can do this exercise with any product. Remember to be more specific when deciding which niche to go with.
3. The niche is you.
As opposed to the other two, the niche is you are more complex to do as you need to understand yourself. Instead of starting a niche out of audience or product/service, this niche starts from you.
You are the one who offers your niche to the market.
Here are three main questions to find your niche:
1) What are you good at?
2) What problem did you solve for other people?
3) How did you solve it?
If you ask those questions, your head will start to wonder about some ideas you can talk about. For example, based on your past, you might have:
Helped people to be better at public speaking.
Helped your colleagues to be more productive with digital tools.
Helped your friends have tough conversations with their partners.
Helped your clients to increase their sales with paid advertising such as Google, Meta, X, etc.
Helped your friends to design a landing page.
With this thought exercise, you will find something you are good at and passionate about that meets market needs.
We'll dive deep into the "Niche is You" topic in the later post.
To summarize things up:
Find sub-niches out of the audience.
Find sub-niche out of product/service.
The niche is you.
That's all for today.
I look forward to seeing you again next week when we discuss more interesting topics about how the top 1% of creators and solopreneurs make their money.
